Many patients are dental phobic. Because of this, most patients don´t make regular dentist visits, so that their teeth become large problems.
In these caces, we advise what narcosis is the best for individual. A sedation sets the patient in a relaxed and calm condition. Patients with dental fear can also be treated under use of „dental hypnosis“: The patient is set in trance and gives „his mouth for repair“.
For pain-free treatment is a local injection necessary. For the tratment under hypnosis, the patient must trust and have faith in the dentist, so that the patient falls in Trance is fully relaxed and without worry.
In certain cases at dental fear, adults and children can undergo a dental therapy in co-operation with an anaethatist. Dr. Wagner then comes to our practice, and the treatment, medical and finacial details can then be discussed.
Not always is a fullnarcosis necessary. For small op´s can an „Analogsedation“ be enough. A sedative, combined with a painkiller, is infused allowing a painfree and relaxed treatment. During this process, the blood circulation is controlled.
The „laughing gas“ sedation in our practice is controlled through our anaesthatist, utilising special maskes and equipment. The Gas (N2O) is inhaled through a mask. I causes sleepiness. A local anasthetic is necessary for painfree treatment.
A common narcosis is for small children, disabled persons and patients with strong fear ideal. The common narcosis in our practice is intubationary; the sedative is intravenous. Breathing is upheld using a tubus and is controlled by the anaesthtist during and after treatment. The patient is unconsious and absolute pain-free.
As primary therapy by a strong dental phobie is always a specific psychotherapy.
