There are many ways of tooth treatment without pain. The local anaesthetic is most common method. Besides this, there are other methods available.
Local pain elimination
The infiltrations narcosis cuts the pain in the area of the injection. The solution enters the bone tissue and numbs the pain directly on the nerves from one to two teeth on the tooth root endings. Should the side teeth of the lower jaw or a larger area is to be kept painfree, a nerve in that region is numbed. In the lower jaw the bottom lip and tongue half are also numbed.
By the intraligamentary anaesthesia a very thin needle and pressure reduced syringe is used to place the solution directly between the tooth and the bonefold. For patients and children with anxiety, a surface anaesthesia in form of a „magic spray“, can be used to numb the area of the injection point, so that no pain is felt at the injection.
